The Skaha Lake walk on November 10 was a fitting final outing for the Oliver Osoyoos Naturalist Club.
It turned out to be a beautiful day for walking along the KVR from OK Falls to Kaleden.
Photo essay from Donna Heard includes pictures of two Great Horned owls, a pair of Hooded Mergansers, a Canvasback, a Horned Grebe and of course lovely Skaha Lake.

Please check our hikes and schedul19 OONC Scheduled hike March-July 2019ed events for March – July 2019
Our first hike of the years was for the birds – literally!
It was a sun drenched Saturday for an easy and eventful walk along the Okanagan River to the McAlpine Bridge and back to the Oliver Visitor Centre.
Special thanks to Donna Heard who’s camera captured a plethora of feathered friends including a Bald Eagle; Bohemian Waxwing; Northern Pintail; Pileated Woodpecker, and a Snow Goose who befriended two local Canada Geese.
